About Us
Norton’s Fine Art and Framing has been owned and operated by the same St. Louis family since 1949.
In the 1940’s Ruth Norton was an interior decorator, and her husband, Cecil, was an architect/engineer with Norton Company Designers. In 1949 they created a business to merge their respective fields. From these roots, Norton’s has evolved into a unique picture framing and art gallery specializing in conservation, museum grade framing. Doug, Mary, and their son, Ty, endeavor to bring together great art, as well as creative, professional picture framing and a continuing dedication to customer service.
Doug Norton, CPF, and Mary Norton, CPF are charter members of the Professional Picture Framers Association’s (PPFA) Certified Picture Framer (CPF) program. Ty Norton attained his CPF certification in 2020. Currently there are less than 500 PPFA Certified Picture Framers in the United States, the Norton’s are three of them.
The gallery carries a wide variety of artwork, including original watercolors, paintings, lithographs, etchings, serigraphs, landscapes, historical maritime, sports, and St. Louis art, by regional as well as national and international artists.
